Q. Is Swift-Tuning a site produced by Century?
A. No, Swift-Tuning is owned and run by Electric Helicopter Tuning Ltd.
This is an independent company and is neither paid nor financed by Century.
The reviews and articles on the site are not censored or put through Century
for approval before publication.
Q. How are Century involved in this site?
A. They supply the helicopters and upgrade parts (that they produce) to
the site and in return the site builds, reviews and writes articles about
those helicopters and parts. Again the site is free to write what it wants
and is not under any restrictions in terms of content.
Q. Will the site only cover Century parts and upgrades?
A. No, the site will review all manufacturers parts and upgrades that are
relevant to the Swift line of helicopters.
Q. What helicopters can we find information about on Swift-Tuning?
A. Just the Century Swift.
Q. Does the site have a forum?
A. Yes it does and it can be accessed here.
Q. Is Swift-Tuning related to X400Tuning.com or TrexTuning.com?
A. Yes, these sites are also owned and produced by Electric Helicopter
Tuning Ltd.
Q. Can I do reviews for Swift-Tuning?
A. You are welcome to submit a review to the webmaster but Swift-Tuning
tends to use it's own reviewers for such work. This does not mean your
review or article won't get published, it will get looked at and if suitable
and factually accurate moved onto the site.
Q. Can the Swift do 3D?
A. Yes, the Swift is capable of some very good 3D given the right power combination.
Q. Is the Swift a good beginners machine?
A. Yes, it's stable but also very capable of growing as the pilots skills increase. It is also very cheap to buy and repair.
Q. What is an ESC?
A. Electronic Speed Controller. Basically it acts as the throttle for the
electric motor.
Q. What is a BEC?
A. Battery Elimination Circuit. These normally come built into the ESC
and allow you to run your radio equipmet off of the main power pack. The
BEC converts the high voltage of the pack down to the 5V that a receiver
and servos need to function.
Q. What is a lipo?
A. A type of battery capable of delivering very high power from a very
lightweight cell.
Q. Are lipo's dangerous
A. If mistreated or treated without care and attention.....yes. If some
common sense is applied and they are handled and charged corectly....no.
